14 students awarded DTJF Scholarship

Kathmandu-September 26,2013- PDRC awarded Scholarship to 11 students who are doing their 10+2 and PayBack Scholarship to 3 students who are in college doing technical degrees. The scholarship is given through Dr. Tom Jacobsen Fund, which is established by Norwegian Engineer Dr. Tom Jacobsen. The scholarship and the PayBack scholarship are provided to the students until they finish their designated course.

For 2013, Diksya Rasaili (Sarlahi), Krishna Nepali (Gorkha), Anima Bishunkhe (Dhankuta), Rup Kulal (Dolpa), Smarika Nepal (Kapilbastu) received scholarship to finish their Intermediate school in science stream. Likewise, Mamta Bishwakarma (Dang), Rashmila Pariyar (Kavre), Rita Purkoti (Matatirtha), Pooja Ghatane (Ramechhap) and Ganesh Pokharel (Kailali) received scholarship from Management stream. Deepak G R Palpa has also received scholarship aid to complete his D Pharm. studies from Maya Devi Technical College.

In PayBack category, Bijay Pariyar (Palpa) and Santosh Ramtel (Sindhuli), who are doing their MBBS in Kist Medical College and Kathmandu Medical College respectively, received the Payback Scholarship. In addition, Tensuba Maurati, who is studying LLB at Kathmandu School of Law, also received support for her Law School.

PDRC provides scholarships to 10+2 students to encourage them to be more focused into their studies. And the Payback Scholarship-which is awarded to technical college students-is aimed at making the students socially accountable and help the scholarship regenerate itself and to promote the culture of sharing and caring. The scholarship and Payback scholarship are distributed in pure merit and need basis, in the recommendation of our scholarship distribution committee.
