Since its inception, PDRC had its long-standing commitment to promoting the role of youth participation in different areas of state mechanism. In particular, deciding at the annual meeting last year, PDRC has taken the initiative to bring emerging young leaders to connect with the network of PDRC, while at the same time strengthen their involvement in the core activities of the PDRC.

In 2011 PDRC executive board meeting agreed to explore options to keep PDRC students in a formal network to strengthen the meaningful participation of young people for the growth and prosperity of the organization. Suggestions include a strong call for the creation of Alumni representing students to help guide the work PDRC on youth participation and involvement.

The main objective of Student Alumni is to provide strategic advice on how issues of youth participation can be better integrated in the programs of PDRC and how to develop new activities specifically designed to strengthen the youth participation.
